This policy explains how La Bella Vita ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you make a reservation through this website. We comply with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

What we collect

When you make a booking, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• Party size, date, time, and any notes you provide
• Technical data such as your IP address (used only to prevent abuse — e.g., rate limiting)

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, religion, biometrics, etc.) through this site.

Why we collect it (Legal Basis)

• To fulfil your booking request (contract performance): manage your reservation, send confirmation and reminder emails, and contact you if plans change.
• To protect the service (legitimate interest): prevent spam, fraud, and abuse of the booking system.
• To comply with the law: keep records where required by Egyptian tax or commercial regulations.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with trusted service providers that help us run the booking system:

• Resend — to send you booking confirmation and update emails.
• Neon — to host the database that stores your booking.
• Vercel — to host this website.

These providers may process data outside Egypt. We only use providers that apply recognised security standards and we never sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your booking information for up to 24 months after your last visit, so we can help with follow-up questions and regular guests. We may keep records longer where required by Egyptian law (for example, tax records). After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Egyptian PDPL you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you (access)
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong (rectification)
• Ask us to delete your data (erasure)
• Object to or restrict how we use your data
• Withdraw any consent you have given
• Lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC)

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted database access, and reputable cloud infrastructure to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — if a breach ever affects you, we will notify you and the PDPC as required by law.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 to book without a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Updates to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
